    Laura has been with Acorn Morgages since the day it launched in June 2006 and has become mortgage advice qualified to a very high standard, with both the Certificate in Mortgages Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and Advanced Certificate in Advice and Practice (adv CeMAP). Prior to a short career break to have her first child, Laura had a long and distinguished career advising international clients within a large banking organisation in Jersey. During this time Laura qualified as a financial advisor, obtaining the Investment Advice Certificate (IAC). Married with two young children, Laura confesses to being a Facebook addict and wannabe masterchef in the spare time she has left.

    Karen was born in Birmingham but has spent the best part of the last 20 years in Jersey. She has worked for some of the largest mortgage lenders in the industry including NatWest during her early UK years and HSBC in Jersey. Karen has also got a wealth of private banking knowledge having spent many years within the credit department of Kleinwort Benson also here in Jersey. She is a fully qualified financial advisor, holding the Financial Planning Certificate (FPC), the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (Adv CeMAP) and is currently studying for the investment advice diploma. She joined Acorn Mortgages back in December 2007, having taken a career break for the previous five years to bring up her young family. Away from the office she spends her time with her 4 young children and has little time for hobbies.

    Born and raised in Rochdale, Lancashire, Lorraine relocated to the island in 2003 to be with her partner Jeff. Both in the UK and in Jersey Lorraine has worked for large retail lenders, including RBS and Barclays. She brings to Acorn Mortgages over 20 years mortgage and financial services experience and says that there is no better place to live and work than in Jersey. Lorraine is qualified to a very high standard, holding the Financial Planning Certificate together with the Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, and currently studying for the CISI Investment Advice Diploma. In her spare time Lorraine enjoys travelling, films and knitting.
