    With twenty years experience in the industry under his belt, David helped form Acorn in November 2003. David, in his own words, is “potentially good looking, intelligent, witty and almost perfect”. He is passionate about getting constructive credit agreements completed for customers that other institutions could or would not be able to accommodate. David values the clear advantages resulting from Acorn’s independence and ability to react promptly to local market conditions. Outside work he enjoys playing squash, active holidays and reading Sunday papers. He aspires to travel India and Australia, learn to fly as well as substantially improve his standard of squash. His greatest indulgence is good food and drink.

    Lending Account Manager

    Liz has worked in the finance industry for over ten years and is a key member of the Acorn management team, joining the company in November 2005. Liz moved to Acorn having worked previously with Director Andrew Schaffer at a global finance institution. She has significant experience in consumer lending, and continues to enjoy day to day contact with Acorn's varied client base as Manager of the Acorn Lending team. Recently married, Liz is kept busy walking her two lively dogs a German Shepherd and a husky cross, going to the gym and undoing all the hard work with good food and wine!

    Account Manager

    Stuart was born and raised in the West Midlands and moved to Jersey in 1999, spending nine years at the helm of a large well known UK retailer. Needing a fresh challenge he joined Acorn as Account Manager in 2008. He is now fully qualified with the Certificate for Financial Adviser's (CeFA), the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and the Customer Services Professional Certificate (CSP). Stuart lives with his fiancée, Debbie and enjoys time with his two daughter's Olivia and Casey. When not studying, he loves nothing more than to socialise in true Acorn fashion with good food and wine, a round of golf and early mornings in the gym.

    Mel Truscott-Michel

    Account Manager

    Mel has worked in banking and finance, interspersed with travelling, since 1998, starting at RBSI and working with some of Acorn's competitors.  She saw the light and moved over to the dark side in February 2009, joining the team with the unenviable task of supporting the Acorn Directors in their day to day delivery of the Acorn business.  Mel's spare time is spent holidaying with her husband and walking her new dog (bear!) whilst perfecting her social skills to keep up with the Acorn Way!

    Allison Johnson

    Account Manager

    Allison has worked in the finance industry for six years and is a key member of the Acorn Lending team.  She has previously worked at another Jersey finance house, and in the motor trade selling BMW and MINI, which has helped tremendously with her knowledge and expertise of the finance business.  Allison joined Acorn in January 2007.  Married, with two children and three step-children, Allison has a Lhasa Apso called Lilly.  In her spare time, she helps run her family beach cafe business in St Clement.

    Martin Miley

    Account Manager

    Martin, or Miley as he is known to his friends and colleagues, joined the Acorn team in 2006, having previously worked with Acorn Directors Andrew and Steve at other Jersey finance houses.  Miley has more than six years experience in the consumer and commercial finance industry.  Before this, he carved out a successful and glittering career gliding through the largest and most sought after positions within the supermarket trade!  As a doting father of three, he spends time away from the office with his family and squeezes in a round of golf and entertaining in true Acorn style.

    Credit Controller

    Anita has over 15 years experience working in the finance industry in various roles including sales, lending, customer service and credit control, both in the UK and locally.  Having worked with members of Acorn previously, for more than five years, she joined the Company in 2007 and currently manages the company's Credit Control department.  Outside work, she enjoys the summer months heading to the beach and relaxing with friends - in true Acorn fashion this includes the odd drink or two!
